Books Monthly has been on the web since 1998 (as Fantazone, Phantazone and finally Books Monthly [from about 2001]) and is published by me, Paul Norman on or around the first day of every month. Your comments are most welcome and I hope you will continue to enjoy reading the magazine at its new home with WordPress!

On this page you’ll find occasional comments about what to look forward to in future issues, for example I often get advanced proof copies of books that are due to be published several months from now, or books that have arrived too late for inclusion in the current issue, such as the half a dozen superb new titles I have just received from Pen and Sword. I might give you a heads-up about a new Stephen King title I’ve heard about, or a new children’s book that’s causing a stir, like this one from publisher Chicken House: THE MIDNIGHT HOUR by BENJAMIN READ & LAURA TRINDER, which will be published in February of next year. I’ve read it, it’s brilliant, and you can read about it in the December issue of Books Monthly.

Also in the coming months, you’ll find the sleeve notes of another Acker Bilk LP, STRANGER ON THE SHORE…

See you December 1st! Happy reading! (It’s a bit like Strictly Come Dancing, where they say “Keep Dancing”).
